Sensory seminar
The Sensory Seminar is a one-day conference to be held 25 October in Sydney which aims at strategic marketing, brand/product management, consumer insights/research, business development, creative/design and packaging, innovation and R&D.
It is titled "Understanding consumer needs and wants to optimise products for market success' and brings together experts in sensory and innovation.
Some of the topics that will be covered at the event include:
- Getting results in innovation;
- The application of sensory and consumer sensory research during innovation and the NPD process focusing on kids;
- Exploratory sensory research.
Speakers include: Joseph Atallah, Kimberley Chocolates; Justin Axford, IMI International; Ingrid Messner, Essencion; Kathrine Milner, The Wrigley Company; Amanda Osenton, Sensory Solutions; Astrid Poelman, Food Science Australia (a joint venture between the Victorian government and CSIRO); Trevor Stevens, Davies Collison Cave; Dr Melanie Turner, Sensory Solutions; Anne Watson, The Smith's Snackfood Company (part of PepsiCo).
The day concludes with two workshops and a panel discussion ("The future of innovation').
