Logistics scholarships application call
Applications are now open for the Swisslog and Logistics Association of Australia (LAA) university scholarships.
The scholarships provide an incentive for undergraduate and postgraduate tertiary students to undertake logistics and supply chain streams and majors, with the aim of pursuing careers in these areas.
Four scholarships will be offered — two of $2500 each at undergraduate level and two of $5000 each at postgraduate level. Each award includes membership of the LAA and will contribute to course-related costs.
Mentors will be sought from LAA Ltd membership to offer encouragement and counsel to the students throughout their courses and, where relevant, share work experiences.
Completed research projects, theses or dissertations will be assessed under criteria that include the importance of the work in terms of expanding Australasian logistics and supply chain knowledge and theory.
The closing date for applications will be 31 March 2008. Universities registered for inclusion in the program will be advertised on the LAA website: www.laa.asn.au.
