Specialty chemicals company acquires Enzyme Solutions

Wilbur-Ellis Company subsidiary Connell Brothers Australasia has acquired Melbourne Company Enzyme Solutions.

Connell Brothers says the acquisition is a strategic fit with its current businesses in the Asia-Pacific region and will expand its ingredient portfolio within a range of industries such as food, home care, animal feed and industrial applications.

“Enzymes are critical components in a wide variety of applications, and we believe that the addition of the dedicated technical and sales teams from Enzyme Solutions will strengthen our business, lead to new opportunities and be of great value to our customers.”

Enzyme Solutions’ current general manager, Barri Trotter, will becomes business manager for the new Connell Brothers Australasia Enzyme Solutions business unit. Geoff Bearzatto, owner of Enzyme Solutions, will continue to play an active role in the running of the business.
