Ooops - we were wrong

Friday, 15 August, 2008

The July-August issue of What's New in Food Technology & Manufacturing  published an article 'Meat handling and OHS laws', which claimed that OHS laws would be changed in 2008 to see a new maximum weight for boxes of meat.

The article, supplied by Industrial Conveying Australia via Val Pavlovic at Omentum Media, was published in good faith, but, in fact, while there is interest in preventing back injuries in meat industry workers, there is no new OHS law imminent.

What’s New in Food Technology & Manufacturing regrets publishing erroneous material.
