Nominations open for 2014 NZIFST Food Industry Excellence Awards
The New Zealand Institute of Food Science and Technology (NZIFST) is welcoming nominations for the 2014 NZIFST Food Industry Excellence Awards. The awards will be presented at the 2014 NZIFST Conference.
The NZIFST Food Industry Excellence Awards recognise and reward people for excellence in specified fields, with the aim of fostering these qualities in the New Zealand food industry.
Organisers say the awards are people focused, with each award recognising human excellence, not just the related output/outcome. Individuals, teams, site personnel or an entire staff may be nominated.
NZIFST is calling for nominations in the following categories:
- Leadership (Transpacific Award)
- Innovation
- Eco-efficiency (Ecolab Award)
- Service or supply
Neither the nominator nor nominee need to be members of NZIFST to nominate or receive an award.
The award winners will be selected by a panel of senior food professional previously recognised by NZIFST for their industry contribution. All finalists will be featured in the NZIFST journal, Food New Zealand. Award winners will receive a trophy and cash award, which will be presented at a gala dinner on 2 July during the 2014 NZIFST Conference in Christchurch.
Information about the awards and nomination process is available from www.nzifst.org.nz/awards/industryawards.asp.
