New managing director of NFIS
Dr Susan Nelle has been appointed as the new managing director of NFIS Ltd, following the resignation in February of Richard Brooks. Susan's strengths are in understanding and developing business strategy, managing change and working with boards in the not-for-profit and corporate sectors. She was instrumental in developing a strong and cohesive partnership between the food industry and government in South Australia.
One of her objectives will be to refresh the National Food Industry Strategy and determine the role for NFIS Ltd beyond June 2007. Prior to joining NFIS Ltd, Susan was executive director of Food South Australia. Prior to taking up that position in 1999, she worked as a consultant in both the United States and Australia.
