New CEO and president for Urschel Laboratories
Rick Urschel has been promoted from vice president of operations to president and CEO of Urschel Laboratories, Inc, succeeding Bob Urschel, who has been president and CEO of the company for the past 30 years. Bob Urschel will remain actively involved in the company as chairman of the board.
“As I pass the leadership of the company on to Rick, I am fully confident in his abilities as the new president and CEO of Urschel Laboratories,” Bob Urschel said.
Rick Urschel first started working for the company in 1991. He has a management degree from Purdue University and a full working knowledge of every department within the company.
Urschel Laboratories was founded in 1910 by William Urschel. Rick Urschel is the fourth generation of the Urschel family to work in the business.
The company recently acquired 160 acres of land in Chesterton, Indiana, and is constructing its new manufacturing and global headquarters.
