Krones spin-off to operate valve technology business
Evoguard GmbH, a subsidiary of Krones, will operate Krones’ valve technology business on a stand-alone basis. Based in Nittenau, Germany, Evoguard is 100% owned by Krones. It started business operations in early January 2014.
Several years ago, Krones began to develop its own series of valves suited to the food and beverage industry - as well as the dairy sector - under the Evoguard name. The company now offers a complete product range that is suitable not only for the food, beverage and dairy industries, but also the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors.
In order to accelerate sales growth in sectors outside the food and beverage industry, Krones has decided to spin off its valve technology operations from the core business into a stand-alone unit. Krones says that, as an independent and autonomous company, Evoguard benefits from a favourable cost structure, high flexibility and efficient decision-making.
Evoguard vales are produced in Nittenau, where the 4000 m2 production and administration building houses the R&D, design, sales and assembly operations.
