Japan opens doors for food machinery
The Japanese External Trade Organisation (JETRO) has announced the launch of the JETRO Invest Japan Invitation Program for food-related machinery companies, in collaboration with Chiba and Hiroshima Prefectures.
The program will run from 3-8 December 2007 in the Hiroshima and Chiba Prefectures, assisting Australian companies with expansion plans into the Japanese market.
"Food-related machinery companies are well suited to the Japanese market, due to the lucrative size and scope of the market," said Fred Taylor, trade and investment development officer for JETRO.
The organisation assists companies in sourcing market opportunities, and the Invest Japan Invitation Program will provide a chance to network with some of Japan's leading food-related machinery companies.
"In collaboration with the Chiba and Hiroshima Prefectures, we are offering eligible companies a return flight ticket, accommodation, interpreter and program fees for one participant," said Taylor.
Networking opportunities will be coordinated by the organisation and Hiroshima/Chiba prefectures, and are an excellent means of meeting businesses native to the Japanese market.
"Behind the scenes' factory tours are included in the itinerary.
