Hally Labels Group has acquired a majority shareholding in AC Labels Pty Ltd. The companies say the investment is an exciting opportunity to grow and develop their core business.

Hally Labels operates three manufacturing sites across New Zealand and Australia and employs approximately 200 people. The company has sales throughout the South Pacific region.

Established in 1974, AC Labels was a family business until 2004 when Frank Gavrilos (ex-Managing Director of Avery Dennison Australia) as CEO and other senior staff acquired the business from the founding shareholders. The business operates at Wetherill Park in Sydney and employs approximately 50 people.

“This investment offers Hally Labels a unique opportunity to grow its business by incorporating a complementary business that includes an excellent management team and skilled personnel ...” the companies said in a media statement.

“It will also enable Hally Labels to develop a greater share of the Australian labelling market, strengthen its operations, provide additional opportunities for staff and a more secure future for the business through the strategic continuous growth program. The digital capability existing in AC Labels will complement the Hally Labels New Zealand digital press business and provide the Australian business with increased flexibility and an improved market offer.”
