DAFF announces changes to security paper
DAFF (the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry) has updated the paper for export sanitary and phytosanitary certificates for dairy products as part of the AQIS (Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service) brand retirement.
DAFF says only the new paper should be used for certificates from 1 July 2013 onwards; up until this date, the current paper should be used. DAFF has informed importing countries about the changes.
Exporters can place orders for the new paper from 1 June. The ordering process and codes will remain the same.
“In accordance with your remote print agreement with DAFF, you are to withdraw and destroy all copies of the old security paper from 1 July 2013,” a DAFF statement said. “Once the old paper has been destroyed you need to notify the EXDOC helpdesk via email at EXDOC.HelpDesk@daff.gov.au.”
The changes to the security paper are:
- The centre emblem is now the Australian Crest.
- The words ‘Australian Government’ encase the Australian Crest.
- A false watermark picturing multiple maps of Australia has been added to the back of the paper.
