Bakery exhibition postponed to 2014
The SIAB International Techno-Bake Exhibition, which was due to be held in Verona in May 2013, has been postponed to 2014. Exhibition organiser Veronafiere said it made the decision in response to market requirements.
“There is no doubt that the bakery sector, like many others, is experiencing one of the most difficult periods in the last 60 years,” said Edvino Jerian, Honorary President of the Italian Federation of Bakers, Bakers-Confectioners and Allied Trades.
“The general disorientation among bakers is significantly reflected by difficulties in making targeted investment choices and the consequent major impact on sector companies, especially suppliers of machinery, ovens and furniture.”
“Exhibiting companies thank Veronafiere for accepting their request to move Siab to 2014,” said Fabio Montresor, Sales Director of Cimav Forni.
“It is a decision which responds to the needs of the sector, which has worked in a context of enduring crisis for some considerable time. This will help strengthen the cooperation relationship with Veronafiere and Siab, and will certainly generate positive outcomes for the international stop-offs this year as well as the show itself in Italy in 2014.”
The final dates for the 2014 event will be announced in the coming weeks.
