AWRI announces 2013 wine webinars

The Australian Wine Research Institute is hosting a series of webinars covering a range of winemaking, winery management and viticulture topics, from climate change to phylloxera to Chinese consumer insights.

The webinars consist of a presentation followed by a Q&A session. Presentations and presenters include:

  • Crush, macerate, drain and press: the effect of juice processing on polysaccharide content and the mouth-feel of white wine. Presented by Richard Gawel (AWRI).
  • The latest on CMCs. Presented by Eric Wilkes (AWRI).
  • Climate influence and trends for the wine industry. Presented by Darren Ray (Bureau of Meteorology).
  • Hybrid Yeast: New Yeast for the New World. Presented by Jenny Bellon (AWRI).
  • Recent advances in yield forecasting: rapid, reliable estimation tools. Presented by Greg Dunn (National Wine and Grape Industry Centre).
  • Thinking outside the bottle: Insights on how Chinese consumers choose wine. Presented by Patricia Williams (AWRI)
  • Post bottling effects of early oxygen exposure during red winemaking. Presented by Martin Day (AWRI).

Each webinar is held on a Tuesday at 11.30 am Australian Central Time (Adelaide, GMT +9:30).
