Applications open for Premier’s NSW Export Awards
Applications for the 2013 Premier’s NSW Export Awards are now open.
The awards recognise excellence in the export of goods and services by NSW businesses and acknowledge the important contribution exporting businesses make to the economy through job creation and increased prosperity for the community and the state.
“This year marks the 51st Annual Premier’s NSW Export Awards, and heralds the start of an exciting new chapter in the history of this important recognition program,” said Ian Murray, CEO of the Export Council of Australia (ECA).
“New, more commercially relevant award categories have been introduced and the online application process has been improved to make it easier than ever for companies to apply.”
Several changes have been made to the Awards categories: Creative Industries will replace Arts and Entertainment; Environmental Solutions will replace Emerging Exporter; Infrastructure and Construction will replace Large Services; Manufacturing will be consolidated into one award category; and Professional & Business Services is replacing Small to Medium Services. A new category - Medical, Healthcare and Biotechnology - has been created.
Applications will close on 19 August. Awards finalists will be notified in September and the winners will be announced at a gala awards presentation on 16 October at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre.
