Rentokil Pest Management PestAware education program

Rentokil Pest Management education programs include the PestAware program which provides staff with some simple tips on helping avoid pest problems. The program is particularly pertinent during summer when the weather conditions are much more conducive to increased pest activities. During this time, both manufacturers and the pest managers must increase their vigilance and management practices during the warmer months to counter the more favourable conditions.

It is time to make sure all surrounding grounds, gardens etc are well maintained and not allowed to become overgrown. External boundaries should be kept clear with no goods or stock stacked against walls.

All windows, doorways and other entryways, particularly loading docks, should be regularly reviewed to ensure they provide a good seal when closed. They should also be kept closed when not in use. Also check that external lights are not acting as insect attractants.

Look further afield from the premises and identify neighbouring environments that may be providing pest habitation and providing a corridor for pests into the site.
