SMC Pneumatics ASR pressure control valve and ASQ flow valves

Monday, 25 March, 2013 | Supplied by: SMC Australia | New Zealand

Combining SMC Pneumatics’ ASR pressure control valve and ASQ flow valves makes it possible to operate the return stroke of a pneumatically operated cylinder at a lower pressure than the working stroke.

According to the company, by using ASR/ASQ valves on one cylinder in a normal operational mode, savings of up to 40% can be made by reducing the pressure on the return stroke.

In the same size as a standard flow controller, ASR pressure valves comprise a regulator with check valve and speed controller. ASQ flow valves combine a quick supply and quick exhaust valve with a built-in speed controller.

The valve bodies and piping ports rotate 360° for quick and easy installation. Users can choose from fixed or adjustable return stroke pressure.

Three valve sizes are available, with four different tube sizes for piping.
