Online fruit quality detection

The Unitec QS_ON LINE 902 provides a solution for the non-destructive online detection of the internal quality of fruits without stone. The parameters measured include sugar content (°Brix), firmness expressed ( kg/cm2), ripening grade (0 and 100) and acidity (g/L).

The detector can be installed in Unitec electronic sorters, so users obtain a 360° quality detection, due to the possibility of turning the fruit while it is analysed.

The system can be used to measure the parameters of fruits without stone such as apples, pears, kiwis and citrus fruits and can be installed with other electronic detection systems for weight, optical size, colour and external quality. The system is customisable according to specific needs.

The detection of quality parameters is obtained in real time letting fruits pass under the NIR (near infrared spectroscopy) sensor’s reading unit without contact; in this way, the fruit remains completely intact.

QS_ON LINE 902 is provided with user interface software in a Windows environment with advanced functions, such as statistical data display and printing according to the number or weight of fruits processed, split by size, colour, exit, °Brix, acidity and firmness.
