Kronen Tona S180K vegetable and fruit processing machine

Tuesday, 06 July, 2010 | Supplied by: Reactive Engineering Pty Ltd

Kronen has released the Tona S180K vegetable and fruit processing machine, a combination of the machines Tona E wedger and the Tona S slicer.

The cutting machine, with a processing capacity of 1200 pcs/h, is the compact little sister of the Tona Rapid (capacity: 4800 pcs/h). Products like apples, carrots, tomatoes and potatoes can be cut into perfect segments, slices, sticks and figurines.

This is achieved by placing the fruit and vegetables on the machine and the pulse-operated turntable will feed automatically the product beneath the pusher. Up to 1200 pieces of apples, carrots, potatoes or tomatoes can be processed per hour (20 strokes/min). The cut pieces fall directly in a container or onto an outfeed belt assuring an effective outfeed.

The machine is equipped with blue centring fingers on 16 standard product holders and fruits and vegetables are gently fixed in the centre of the holder. One cutting insert and one pusher are required for processing.

A range of cutting inserts is available for a variety of cutting forms: segmenting, wedging and slicing; two to 24 dividers with and without centring spike; a grid cutter for sticks; outfeed belts with or without product waste separation (eg, apple cores); and many other inserts are available on request.
