Dimpleflo modular heat exchangers can be used to recover energy from any warm or hot product or effluent.

Industries that have hot wastewater can extract some of the energy from this effluent through the heat exchangers. Dimpleflo systems are maintenance free, even when hot waste products may be in surge chunks, particles or sludge. Hot sludge, wastewater is passed through the inner dimpled surface of the Dimpleflo cooling, from 60 to 30°C whilst boiler feed water is preheated in the jacket of the heat exchanger from 20 to 50°C. This significant energy recovery can be used wherever a hot product or waste is cooled. If this heat has previously been allowed to dissipate to the atmosphere, then washdown water used for washdown showers, etc, is basically heated for free.

Dimpleflo and Dimplestream tubular heat exchangers are designed and manufactured in Australia. The units feature flexibility in their heat transfer design so they can be tailored to meet specific dimensional or functional requirements. The dimple-profiled monotube enables a self-draining, high-efficiency heat exchanger that is virtually unblockable. The profile also promotes a highly turbulent flow and thus maximises heat-transfer coefficients.

The heat exchangers can be constructed using corrosion-resistant alloys such as 2205 duplex and titanium.
