Emerson opens Singapore analytical manufacturing and integration centre
Emerson Process Management has opened the first manufacturing and integration centre in Asia for its Rosemount Analytical technologies.
Developed with support from the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), the facility will produce and distribute analytical and combustion sensors, engineer and design complete analyser-based solutions, and develop and produce customer-specific systems and products.
Expected to employ 65 people by the end of 2015, the centre’s team will include engineering, quality-control and information-technology professionals. Applications covered will include process gas, natural gas, and continuous emission monitoring and steam water analysis systems.
Manufacturing will be operational by early 2015 for analytical instrumentation products to serve the Asia-Pacific and other markets. Products planned for Singapore production initially include liquid and combustion analysis sensors as well as accompanying instrumentation. Future plans include manufacturing of gas detectors, gas chromatographs and process gas analysers.
