Danfoss and Micromax sign sales agreement
Danfoss Power Electronics and Micromax Specialists in Automation have signed an agreement that will see Micromax become the preferred sales channel in Sydney and Melbourne for Danfoss variable speed drives.
Micromax will represent Danfoss in the industrial automation market, predominantly focusing on food and beverage processing, manufacturing and metals.
“Danfoss has a strong connection to the manufacturing industry, particularly in the food and beverage sector through our VLT Flexconcept solution,” said Adam Audley, industry business segment manager for Danfoss Power Electronics.
“We have been there since the beginning, when we introduced the industry to variable speed drive technology, and even now we continue to innovate by finding new ways to reduce operating costs, improve plant reliability and energy efficiency. The agreement with Micromax Specialists in Automation will help us take this value proposition to new customers, as well as improve our service offering to long-term clients.”
“We see Danfoss as a natural fit for our business. We are committed to offering a complete automation package to our customers and variable frequency drives are definitely a part of that,” said Carmelo San Gil, Micromax’s chief executive officer.
“We already have the technical capability in our business to support the Danfoss products, and we are right now ramping up our systems and inventories to match. I am willing to say that we are ready to go and very enthusiastic about the future of our business, our partnership with Danfoss and what we can offer the market together.”
The companies say they are aiming to implement the agreement smoothly, with a thorough communication effort to key customers expected in the immediate future.
