Mondelēz International partners with food rescue organisation
Mondelēz International, maker of Cadbury chocolate, OREO cookies and Philadelphia cream cheese, has launched a partnership with SecondBite, a food rescue organisation. The company will support SecondBite’s efforts to eliminate food waste and feed hungry families nationwide.
The agreement will see surplus snack products diverted from Mondelēz manufacturing facilities to SecondBite centres across the country.
During the Easter period, over 50,000 servings of Cadbury Dairy Milk Easter eggs and bunnies were distributed by SecondBite to food relief agencies across Victoria.
Mondelēz International Corporate and Government Affairs Director Stephanie Saliba said the company is “incredibly proud” of the partnership.
SecondBite Acting CEO Lucy Coward said the partnership will provide SecondBite with “much needed” funding to continue its projects.
