Is Australia ready to snack on vegetable-flavoured yoghurt?
Yummia is releasing a range of yoghurts flavoured with fruit and vegetables.
Described as a ‘layered yoghurt’, the range is being launched in three flavours: strawberry and beetroot, sweet potato and cinnamon, and apple and carrot. The yoghurt is available in 150 g layered tubs with a spoon included. Each tub claims to contain a half serve of vegetables and all flavours have received a Five Star Health Rating.
The vegie yoghurts are the second product line for the Yummia brand, which was launched in 2011 by founder Mia McCarthy when she was a 22-year-old university student. The first product was a ‘grab-and-go’ bircher muesli created in her parents’ kitchen.
