Digital food safety service
Bureau Veritas has launched a digital service to help food retailers and restaurateurs manage food safety and operations.
SAFEOPS enables retailers and restaurant chains to carry out all of the daily checks they need to deliver high-quality, safe products to their customers — and quickly identify and resolve any problems that pose a threat to their reputation.
Restaurants and retail chains collect thousands of pieces of data each week, covering everything from food safety and quality information such as temperature and labels logbooks, to hospitality standards that define the customer experience.
Using Eezytrace software, SAFEOPS enables employees to collect all data on customised tablets. Data is centralised and made available to all parties in real time, including site managers, quality and operations managers at head office, and Bureau Veritas as an independent third party.
The centralised data enables brands to optimise their audit and control plans and budgets, providing improved data tracking and visualisation to enable the identification of sites with difficulties.
SAFEOPS provides potential to optimise costs as the company can decide to reduce the frequency of third-party audits with sites that are consistently compliant. The paperless system also significantly reduces employee time spent on controls.
