Coca-Cola Australia enters seltzer drinks market
Coca-Cola Australia has launched a range of alcoholic hard seltzer drinks. The Topo Chico Hard Seltzer range represents the company’s first foray into this alcoholic market in Australia. The beverage range has proven to be popular in other regions, as have alcoholic hard seltzers in general, so Coca Cola has high hopes for the launch in Australia. The availability of the product range has specifically coincided with the beginning of the country’s warmer weather.
The beverages are inspired by sparkling mineral water, are low calorie and do not contain artificial sweeteners. They are available now in three flavours: Tangy Lemon Lime, Pineapple Twist and Strawberry Guava.
“We are excited to be entering the hard seltzer category, which has seen incredible growth over the last 12 months. We have a fantastic product in Topo Chico Hard Seltzer which is backed by fans in Latin America and Europe and we’re confident Australians will love the light, refreshing taste,” said Robert Priest, Coca-Cola South Pacific Vice President.
