Bulla scoops up dairy awards

Bulla Dairy Foods has been recognised for two of its products at the 2016 Dairy Industry Association of Australia (DIAA) NSW Dairy Awards.

Bulla’s 200 mL Sour Cream was named DTS Food Laboratories Award, Champion Dip, Cream and Dessert, while Bulla’s Fairy Bread ice-cream picked up the prize for Ingredion Award, Most Innovative Product (Judges’ Choice).

DIAA’s annual Dairy Awards recognise and reward excellence, quality and innovation in the Australian dairy industry. The 2016 competing products were individually judged on 27 and 28 April at Merieux Nutrisciences in Regents Park in New South Wales, with points deducted from a score of 20 for any faults determined in the product.

The expert panel awarded Bulla’s Sour Cream with 19.33 points out of 20, the second-highest score in the competition. Bulla’s Fairy Bread ice-cream was named judges’ choice due to its level of creativity and innovation.

The DIAA is a not-for-profit industry association for dairy product manufacturers and allied trades throughout Australia.
