Aussie Farmers Direct enters meal kit market
Aussie Farmers Direct has entered Australia’s fast-growing home-delivered meal kit market, launching its new Simple & Fresh Dinner Box.
Aussie Farmers Direct Chief Merchant Duncan Kirk believes the company’s 11-year heritage in delivering produce throughout Australia places it in good stead to capture this expanding market.
“10 years ago, the home-delivered meals market was virtually non-existent, but it is now the fastest growing and most exciting segment in grocery e-commerce around the world,” Kirk said.
Kirk says his company is well-placed to compete with the large global players by positioning itself as a locally sourced, fresh and high-quality product.
“This means that customers in South Australia and Queensland can order a Simple & Fresh meal box and know that it’s been packed in their home state — not shipped from Sydney.”
The service is also designed to be convenient and flexible. Orders are accepted right up to the day before delivery, and customers are not locked into a subscription service.
The Simple & Fresh dinner box is available in three- or four-meal options for couples and families.
