Clever electronic cap
Pillsy has devised a smart cap that can track dosages. Fitting onto a regular-sized pill bottle, the cap can wirelessly communicate with an iOS/Android app on a smartphone.
If a dose of a tablet is missed, a lock screen notification, text message or voice message reminder is sent to the phone. If the person is not near their drugs when they receive their reminder, they are sent another reminder when they are once again within Bluetooth range of the bottle.
The cap automatically tracks how many pills have been taken and when, without requiring the app to be opened. Users can also check if they’ve already taken the medication.
If users don’t want to communicate via the app, they can rely on the cap flashing and beeping when it’s time to take a pill.
