Cermex DiviArm continuous lane divider with guiding arm
Cermex has added the DiviArm to its range of lane dividers. The DiviArm is a continuous divider, with guiding arm, that distributes primary packaging such as bottles, containers, cans and cartons into lanes.
Installed upstream from a case packer or shrink-wrapper or as stand-alone equipment, the DiviArm is claimed to distribute without stopping the flow and without blocking or bumping the products.
The guide position and material are adapted to the shape, resistance and label of the product being handled. Guiding is consistent with the downstream case packer or shrink-wrapper.
A single-infeed divider transfers products from one up to twelve lanes within a compact footprint. Products are distributed into lanes by a guiding arm mounted on two servo-driven axes.
The divider has lateral movement (lane change) and axial movement (guiding of products at the same speed as the conveyor), so products are not blocked during lane changes. Its modular design integrates a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) approach.
The DiviArm has a speed of up to 60 cycles per minute or 350 products per minute. If the downstream machine stops, the lane divider automatically empties so it can restart quickly without products falling and with no loss of synchronisation.
The cantilever frame structure gives ground-level access into machines. A number of upstream connections are possible to accommodate layout constraints. An automatic format changeover option is available.
