Organic meat company implements forklift awareness strategy
Work, health and safety regulators have been running events and activities across the country to raise awareness of workplace health and safety during National Safe Work Month.
During October, Safe Work Australia released safety champion videos featuring four different organisations who are championing work health and safety by finding ways to improve safety practices in their everyday work.
One of the companies featured in the videos is Arcadian Organic & Natural Meat Co. The video shows how the company has implemented a forklift exclusion zone using a red light beam around the forklift. The company always aims to continuously improved safety and this strategy has resulted in improved materials handling safety.
