Witt Leak-Master Easy packaging test system
When it comes to testing packaging for leaks, Witt provides a reasonably priced solution that works without trace gas. Witt’s Leak-Master Easy uses only water and compressed air to operate the simple test system.
The Leak-Master Easy is suitable for testing almost all stable and flexible food, pharmaceutical, industrial and consumer packaging, including vacuum packaging. The test system enables even the smallest leaks to be detected without any test gas. Nor is there any need for electricity. A Venturi nozzle that only requires compressed air is used instead of a vacuum pump.
The test packaging is placed in the water-filled chamber for the leak test and the air space above the water level is evacuated using the Venturi nozzle. The immersed packaging inflates due to the resultant vacuum. Air or filling gas escapes at leaking points, visibly bubbling up. The quality tester can quickly and easily determine whether and at what point the packaging is leaking. Test time is less than 30 s.
According to the company, operating costs are low because only water and air are used instead of expensive test gases such as helium. Installation and operation is uncomplicated. The Leak-Master Easy requires no calibration and little maintenance.
The system is simple and intuitive to operate, and its sturdy acrylic housing is hygienic and easy to empty and care for. Simple strength tests on the packaging can also be carried out in the dry chamber.
With an optional extension set, the Leak-Master Easy is also suitable for testing vacuum-packed products or products with very low gas space.
