Tetra Pak package receives sustainability award

Tetra Pak’s Prisma Aseptic 1000 with bio-based plastic received a gold award for sustainability at the WorldStar awards, held in Milan.

The package also received a WorldStar award in the beverage category.

The Tetra Prisma Aseptic 1000 uses low density polyethylene (LDPE) derived from sugar cane as the laminate film in the packaging material. When combined with FSC certified paperboard, this boosts the renewable material content in the package to around 78%. The package is also 100% recyclable.
