KHS will be demonstrating at drinktec
KHS will be demonstrating its machine and packaging systems at drinktec from 12 to 16 September, including newly developed filling equipment and a bottle concept that is designed as a sustainable approach to beverage packaging.
The drinktec event occurs every four years and sees the beverage and liquid food sectors gathering in Munich to showcase their products and provide information to exhibitors. However, it’s now five years since the drinktec event last happened, with COVID-19 causing a delay.
“In the past couple of years countless events have been cancelled or staged in a purely virtual format,” said Dr Johannes T Grobe, CSO of the KHS Group.
“This was a difficult time for us all. Despite digital solutions, personal contact is essential. As one of the main exhibitors in Munich, we’re very pleased to be able to again welcome our customers and partners in person.”
KHS will be showcasing its filler/seamer block SmartCan, developed in collaboration with Ferrum. The system is designed to increase line efficiency while fitting into a smaller space. It will also be demonstrating its KHS Loop LITE packaging concept — a recycled PET bottle that is made of recycled PET and uses less material than other soft drink bottles.
“Consumers and beverage producers are actively calling for sustainable packaging that’s as climate-friendly and low on resources as possible,” Grobe said. “KHS is well aware of its responsibility here and helps customers by providing specific advice and developing and implementing recyclable systems.”
KHS will be presenting its products in Hall B4.
