Hort Connections 2025 heading to Brisbane
Preparations are ramping up for Hort Connections 2025, which will take place at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre from 4 to 6 June.
The conference and trade show, co-hosted by AUSVEG and the International Fresh Produce Association Australia-New Zealand (IFPA ANZ), has grown every year since it was first held, with over 4000 delegates from across the industry attending last year in Melbourne.
This year once again the event will feature a program of inspiring speakers providing their insights into the key challenges, opportunities and hot topics in horticulture. Numerous networking opportunities, and the annual Horticulture Awards for Excellence, are also shaping as major drawcards.
Former Olympic Swimmer Giaan Rooney will return as the Hort Connections MC, while other speakers include:
- Dr Chadden Hunter — a wildlife biologist and filmmaker who has worked on acclaimed documentaries like Planet Earth II and Frozen Planet alongside Sir David Attenborough.
- Dr David Hughes — Emeritus Professor of Food Marketing, Imperial College London, who is a global expert in food industry trends, agribusiness and retail.
This year’s trade show will have over 200 exhibitors, allowing delegates to learn about the latest products, services and technologies available. An Activation Lounge will be a new addition to the trade show, featuring celebrity chefs Justine Schofield and Simon Toohey. The former MasterChef contestants, who now host their own television cooking shows, will show delegates how to cook delicious, healthy meals using fresh fruit and vegetables.
Early-bird delegate and exhibition booth registrations are closing on Wednesday, 26 March.
