Fine Food Sydney cancelled
Fine Food Sydney has cancelled its 2022 event due to uncertain market conditions and the ongoing health impact of the Omicron variant of COVID-19.
The event was set to begin in early March but changes brought about by the pandemic forced the organisers’ hands; while the festival is allowed to run under government regulations, its quality would have been negatively impacted.
An upside is that the Melburnian leg of the event is still going ahead. Fine Food Australia will be running from 5–8 September at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. The organisers of the event say that by redirecting their attention to a single event instead of two, the resulting show will be more successful and enjoyable for both visitors and exhibitors.
Fine Food Australia is a trade exhibition for foodservice, hospitality and retail industries. It features product demonstrations, masterclasses and competitions. Registration for the Melbourne event is set to open in the middle of the year.
