FIAL launches $500K fund for food and agribusinesses
Food Innovation Australia Limited (FIAL) has released a $500,000 fund designed to help small and medium food and agribusinesses who have been affected by events of national natural catastrophe or global disease outbreaks (in 2019 or 2020). The Black Summer Innovation Fund (BSIF) aims to encourage food and agribusinesses to use innovation to supercharge their business.
Australian food and agribusinesses affected by drought, flood, fire, African Swine Flu and the coronavirus may be eligible to receive grants of up to $25,000 and the opportunity to partner with technical experts and researchers, to innovate commercial products, processes or services. Grants are to be used to support business, product or service innovations.
