Anuga HORIZON at Anuga 2023
This year’s Anuga will include the Anuga HORIZON conference, which is running under the motto "Discovering New Frontiers: Anuga HORIZON — Cultivating Change in Food Innovation".
The conference will be held in the Congress Centre North at Koelnmesse on 9 and 10 October during Anuga. Experts, decision-makers and innovators will come together at the conference. It will be an opportunity to discuss the industry’s current challenges and identify solutions in the scope of lectures and panel discussions.
Anuga HORIZON Conference’s program picks up on future themes of the food industry, placing attention on innovative technologies, food trends and solutions. Lectures will give insights into the latest innovations, such as how decisive data and artificial intelligence can increase the sustainability of the food system and how AI-controlled food assistants can revolutionise nutritional behaviour.
Best practice examples of AI and blockchains will be presented as well as solutions and strategies for the reduction of the impact food production has on the environment, for the reduction of food waste and the promotion of sustainable supply chains. The current stage of development of cell-based meat and fish cultures as well as combating malnutrition using innovative concepts will also be addressed. The conference will give an overview of changing consumer preferences and how global industry players can lead the way in the transition to a new food industry.
The conference will run alongside lectures on the Anuga Trend Zone, with an exhibition space showcasing innovative startups.
The Anuga HORIZON Exhibition will present innovative products, technologies and services focusing on the transformation of the global food issue.
