Benco Pack SpA has announced that it is now possible to label thermoformed containers directly on the line with outputs ranging 12,000 - 48,000 containers/h.
All Benco Pack machines (including fully aseptic models) can now be equipped with the ISA (integrated sleeve applicator) function which has been approved by the European Patent Office.
The original idea, presented at Anuga 2003, was reconfirmed at Anuga FoodTech in April 2006 and was the result of three years of pilot tests and ongoing continuous development.
As a result of cooperation with partner/customers such as Leche Pascual (Spanish-based European market leader for aseptic products), this technology has reached a high level of reliability and represents real innovation in the sector because of the significant advantages it offers in terms of package appeal and material cost saving compared to the traditionally paper-labelled thermoformed cups or with pre-made cups.
With four machines already supplied and two orders under construction, the technology is being well received by the food/beverage industry.
Benco Pack offers form-fill-seal systems for mini-portions and single and thermoformed cups, in hygienic, ultra clean and aseptic versions, with over 350 machine installations worldwide.
