The Solanic Potato Protein range offers high-performance potato protein fractions as ingredients for consumer food and beverage products. Solanic has developed a complete range of functional potato protein-based technologies that offer a broad range of ingredient solutions and opportunities for the food and beverage industry.

Solanic offers a variety of protein fractions extracted from non-GMO potatoes, each with its own distinctive functionally and specific application area. The fractions differ in heat stability, iso-electric points, molecular weight and lipophylic properties. It is not a ‘one-size-fits-all’ proposition; depending on manufacturers’ applications, Solanic can offer exactly the right fraction for each application.

Solanic potato fractions are highly concentrated native isolates containing 92 to 95% protein.

The hypo-allergenic proteins have a well-balanced amino acid composition of high nutritional value. Furthermore, one Solanic fraction is claimed to exhibit satiety enhancing benefits, leading to significant food intake reduction.

Functional properties such as solubility, foaming, gelation, emulsification or combinations of these will allow manufacturers to create new products enhancing their competitive advantage by providing new solutions to address consumer trends such as: natural, health and wellbeing and convenience — besides operational savings.
