FreshPax oxygen absorbing packets and strips protect packaged foods and other products against spoilage, growth of mould, colour change, rancidity, loss of nutrients, insect damage and other quality losses for fresher, tastier products.
FreshPax contain food-grade ingredients and absorbs oxygen inside sealed packaging irreversibly, to an amazingly low maintained level of less than 0.01% oxygen, extending shelf life. FreshPax may be used for fresh and stored food packaging, pharmaceuticals and vitamins, medical diagnostic kits, pet foods and even the preservation of artwork or books. FreshPax may be used in combination with gas flushing and vacuum packaging.
Applications include: bread, pastries, cookies, cakes, confectionary, coffee, tea, cured meats, dairy products, dried or dehydrated foods, seasonings, flour and grain products as well as fresh and pre-cooked pasta and noodles. FreshPax maintain the quality of polyunsaturated fats and oils; prevent oxidization of many food components such as vitamins (A, C and E), oleoresins in spices and seasonings, as well as inhibiting oxidation and condensation of the red pigment in berries and sauces. FreshPax also delays enzymatic browning of fruits and some vegetables; inhibits mold in cheeses and fermented dairy products and helps retain the fresh roasted flavour of coffee, nuts and seeds.
