Flying insect controllers

A range of insect light traps has been released by Rentokil Pest Control. The units are designed for food processing and manufacturing plants, supermarkets, commercial kitchens, or front-of-house areas.

Traps have replaced the old-fashioned insect 'zappers' which may increase the risks of contamination and cross-infection through insect fallout and airborne particles produced by high-voltage electrocution.

Specifically designed for food production and processing areas are: Cobra - a substantial unit using translucent UV dispersing technology to spread light from all sides to attract insects. UV lights totalling 45 W; Vector Plasma - the brightest available with 72 W 'pulling power' to attract flying insects from all around.
