World Packaging Organisation approves AIP
Keith Pearson, President of the World Packaging Organisation (WPO), has announced the Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP) has been accepted as a full member.
The Australian Institute of Packaging was unanimously approved for full membership during WPO’s board meeting in Beijing.
Pearson stated, “I would like to welcome AIP into WPO as our newest member. We are genuinely excited about having AIP as part of our team and look forward to their contribution. Australia as a country is well positioned between Eastern and Western cultures and will play a meaningful role in WPO’s mission, ‘better quality of life through better packaging for more people’.”
Pierre Pienaar, National President of the AIP, added that the Institute is very excited about being part of the WPO and looks forward to making a meaningful contribution to the packaging industry on an international scale.
“The AIP believe that we having something meaningful to offer the WPO and look forward to having representation at the WPO Board meetings. The AIP and all its members will have the opportunity to forge relationships worldwide within the packaging community. The AIP certainly seeks to have a long and meaningful relationship with the WPO,” he said.
