Slipper-shaped dog food wins packaging prize
Dog food packaging shaped like slippers and a carton of extra-large eggs depicting a chicken in some discomfort. These are among the packaging designs recognised by the Pentawards Concept 2015, which invites futuristic submissions of projects and packaging ideas by professionals or students which are not marketed or can’t be manufactured yet.
The conceptual packaging designs recognised by the Pentawards jury illustrate the significant creative talent present in the industry and hint at some of the attractive and clever innovations we can expect in the field of packaging design.
BIC USA sponsored the competition by promoting concepts created by students. This year, among the presented works, eight concepts created by students were awarded a prize. The concept which won the most votes from the international jury received a trophy, plus a cash prize, and will participate in a brand design assignment in 2015, working with the BIC USA brand design team.
The winner of this prize is Mychko Yuliana, a student at the British Higher School of Art and Design, Moscow, who won for a line of packaging for teens’ foot deodorant. Other students who won prizes at the Concept Pentawards come from Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand; EVC Bordeaux, France; and the Pratt Institute, USA.
