Phillip Higgins awarded AIP fellowship

The Australian Institute of Packaging National Board has awarded Phillip Higgins, Director of Technline, a Fellowship.

The grade of Fellow is the highest recognition to AIP members and is designed to recognise the significant and sustained contribution to the technology, science or application to packaging in the industry.

For the past 25 years, Phillip Higgins FAIP has been involved in various product innovation roles developing fast moving consumer goods for companies such as James Hardie, Kambrook Electrical and Amcor Ltd.

Within the last 15 years, Higgins has focused on the design of plastic closures and has created and assigned 23 patents and introduced 100+ products into industry, and is a high-performance, results-driven product design and packaging engineer.

“It is an honour to receive the fellowship award and to be recognised by the Australian Institute of Packaging as a contributor to the packaging industry,” Higgins said.

“I have been associated with packaging design for 16 years and joined the AIP to extend my knowledge and to share my experiences with others,” he said.

“I would like to thank the AIP for their ongoing support for our profession and for the award bestowed upon me,” Higgins said.
