oils+fats show returns to Munich
oils+fats, the world’s only trade fair for the oils and fats sector, will take place from 15 to 17 September in Munich. Organisers have added the subtitle “International Trade Fair for Business, Technology and Innovations” to the show’s name to better reflect its function as a drive of innovation and a platform for technology and business.
“It builds a bridge between theory and practice, between fundamental scientific research and practical implementation,” explained exhibition director Martina Ehrnsperger.
Exhibitors from throughout Europe will present the latest solutions for producing and processing oils and fats at the show, while experts from research and industry will report on and discuss markets and technologies for the future.
Key themes will include:
- Production of vegetable proteins
- Energy-efficient production plants
- Refining processes that produce no wastewater
- Minimising the use of agents and auxiliary materials
The 2013 show attracted 2221 visitors, 58% of whom came from outside Germany. The 2014 event will finish two days before the start of Munich’s world famous Oktoberfest.
