Already active in Australia, New Zealand, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore, IMCD Group has opened an office in Thailand to strengthen its presence in the region even further. The office in Bangkok currently employs four members of staff, covering personal care and food market sectors.

The opening of the office in Thailand is the latest in a succession of steps that IMCD Group has taken over recent years to build a stronghold in Asia-Pacific. Commenting on this development, Albert Stevens, Vice President Asia of IMCD Group, said: “Having gained the reputation of being a highly transparent partner in Europe, we are now aiming to become a preferred distributor for the leading suppliers of specialty products in Asia-Pacific. IMCD wants to apply the capabilities and know-how acquired in Europe to the same sectors in the Asian markets.”

Representing major manufacturers, IMCD Group is a leading distributor with a strong position in Europe and Australia for the following markets: coatings, food and nutrition, lubricants, personal care, pharmaceuticals, detergents, plastics and synthesis. Furthermore, IMCD partners with leading logistic service providers in all territories to offer tailored solutions that meet any business requirement.

IMCD also runs 14 laboratories that provide expert formulation support to its customers, covering four market sectors. Two of these laboratories are located in Asia - a coatings lab in India and a personal care lab in Malaysia. The group has grown five-fold in the last 15 years and is committed to furthering this success for the future.
