Applications open for small business advice funding
Small businesses can now apply for grants of up to $100,000 a year as part of the Small Business Advisory Services program.
Eligible service providers such as business enterprise centres and registered business organisations can apply for the funding. Applications close on 25 July.
The government extended the program, which was due to end on 30 June 2012, for a further four years.
“The Gillard government understands the vital role small business plays in our economy, with more than two million small business people employing almost five million Australians and contributing more than one-third of private sector funding,” said Brendan O’Connor, Minister for Small Business.
“We also understand that small businesses, particularly those that are just starting out, need help and advice to turn a great idea into a successful business.”
The funding is to be used for advisory services such as business planning, financial management and mentoring.
AusIndustry will host a webinar on the application process. For more information on the webinar, click here or call the AusIndustry Hotline on 13 28 46.
