APC commends O-I for its annual report
Glass container maker Owens-Illinois (O-I) has been awarded a 4.3 out of 5 rating by the Australian Packaging Covenant (APC) for its annual report. Stan Moore, CEO of the APC, commended O-I for its reporting transparency and for achieving important environmental objectives.
Signatories to the APC conduct an annual reporting process to demonstrate their yearly progress against key performance targets, as well as their contribution to overall objectives and goals of the APC.
“The company has demonstrated achievement through its dedication to adopting the sustainable packaging guidelines, the recovery and recycling of glass packaging into new glass containers in a closed loop cycle, and continuous improvement of their design and manufacturing processes,” Moore said of O-I.
“O-I continues to be a significant partner to the APC and remains well positioned to make major inroads on packaging resource recovery, both directly and through their customers.”
O-I Australia has been a signatory to and supporter of the APC since 2001. To read O-I’s APC annual report, click here.
