AIP to hold a technical dinner with special guest speakers
The Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP) Victorian Branch, in conjunction with LATMA, will be holding a technical dinner with speakers from Foster Packaging, Avery Denison and Matthews Intelligent Identification.
Joe Foster, Managing Director of Foster Packaging, will be discussing the digital developments in flexible packaging. His presentation will include why you should use digital and what options are available. Foster’s presentation will also discuss the challenges with digital flexible packaging, market expectations and acceptance, and the future of digital flexible packaging.
Stephen Walker, General Manager, Retail Brand Information Solutions (RBIS) - Australia, Avery Dennison, will be presenting the latest market development in RFID and where it is today. Stephen’s presentation will include developments in antenna design and what issues they address, what changes have been made in the packaging industry to adopt RFID technology and applications where there is a business case. AIP Members and non-members are invited to attend.
Phil Biggs, National Sales & Marketing Manager for Matthews Intelligent Identification, will be discussing the benefits and implications of implementing a packaging code management (PCM) system. PCM systems can eliminate coding and labelling errors, reduce packaging and product waste and increase packaging line efficiencies. He will also discuss laser coding and its place within the suite of coding technologies.
