Split shaft seals are simple to sanitise

Meco's patented AH-series shaft seals are designed to simplify installation, routine cleaning and maintenance in food and pharmaceutical industries, where frequent product changes and washdowns are required.

Split models can be removed, sanitised and reassembled on the shaft without removal of the bearing or drive. Seals can also be fitted with inlet and drain ports for CIP. The seals' heavy, 12 mm stainless plate stators ensure flatness and long life, despite extensive handling.

MECO AH seals contain dry, abrasive powders in screw conveyors, ribbon blenders, dryers, bucket elevators and similar blending or conveying machinery. The seals solve problems caused by shaft run-out or misalignment by accommodating up to 6 mm diametric shaft run-out. The seals have a simple adjustment mechanism and monitoring provisions, allowing operators to perform preventive maintenance before any product leakage can occur. Gas barrier fluid consumption is 7 ±7 litres per minute.

MECO custom shaft seals are manufactured by Woodex Bearing Company, Inc and distributed in Australia and New Zealand by Eagle Burgmann Australia and Eagle Burgmann New Zealand.
